Terms & Conditions
of Service
1.
Unless otherwise stated items brought in for repair are not tested at time
of deposit with the company.
2. This receipt must be presented at time
of collection but the company may ask for extra identification or proof of
ownership.
3. Should the equipment be given to us
without adequate packaging then we cannot be held responsible for any damage
that may occur.
4. For Manufacturer In-Warranty repairs we
reserve the right to pass on to you any service or handling charges made by
that manufacturer. The company may also make an additional handling charge.
5. For chargeable repairs the company will
provide an estimated cost of repair at your request. If you accept the
estimate the company will complete the repair. If during repair the company
incurs additional costs due to unseen or un-reported further faults then you
will be informed of a revised cost of repair.
6. The company will make a nominal
handling charge for preparing an estimate. This charge will be waived if you
agree to complete the repair.
7. If you refuse to have a repair done
after consideration of the estimate then the equipment will be returned to
you. During the preparation of an estimate our engineers may have to make
exploratory changes to the equipment to determine the nature of the fault.
As such the company cannot guarantee that the equipment will be returned in
the same condition as received. Estimates are valid only for the period the
equipment remains with the company, and no longer than one calendar month
from preparation.
8. If the cost of repair falls on or below
our minimum charges (as displayed in-store) then the company is not obliged
to provide an estimate and may complete the repair without your prior
approval.
9. The company reserves the right to
charge a deposit up to the full value of the repair before proceeding with
work.
10. The company cannot accept
responsibility for manufacturer or distributor delay in obtaining spare
parts or service documentation.
11. The company will provide a guarantee
for repairs undertaken for a period of three calendar months from collection
but does not cover faults unrelated to the original fault or in our opinion
caused by incorrect or improper use, neglect or mishandling by the user of
the equipment. The company reserves the right to charge for any additional
parts at cost that are required under a guarantee repair. Spare parts used
are guaranteed from the date of completion of the repair.
12. The company reserves the right to
charge for storage if the equipment is not collected after two weeks of you
being informed it is ready for collection. The company will dispose of any
equipment not collected after three months. The company will forward any
surplus to the customer at the given address after deduction of all our
expenses including repair cost, storage cost, guarantee and administration
charges.
13. All equipment will be held by the
company until all outstanding charges have been paid for in full.
14. Your statutory rights are not affected
by the above.
